Hattiesburg, Miss - William Carey University men's soccer team  wore pink ribbon wrist bands and gave out Susan G. Komen for the Cure pink pretzels during last Saturday's home game to raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness month. This coming Saturday morning members of the team will also take part in the Hattiesburg 'Heart Walk' before the home game with Bethel University that evening. The team raised in excess of $500 under the leadership of assistant coach Barry Farrell and hard work of soph. forward Mo Degheb.

Jackson, Miss -  No.21 Belhaven University returned to 'the Bowl' for their first home game of 2014 but not just their first home game of the season but a return home following a number of years off campus playing on the artificial turf at nearby Newall Field. The Blazers began their SSAC season at 7-1 with their one loss to No.2 Davenport University. The No. 20 ranked Crusaders at 5-3 were also opening their conference schedule.
