MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Defending Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) regular-season and tournament champion William Carey (Miss.) was designated as the favorite to capture this year's SSAC title in the 2014 SSAC Women's Soccer Coaches' Preseason Poll, the conference office announced Wednesday. The Crusaders were unanimously selected as the SSAC favorite, receiving all 10 first-place votes and accumulating the maximum 90 points to top the preseason conference rating.

Hattiesburg, Miss.- William Carey University head coach Danny Owens has released the Lady Crusaders  2014 schedule and WCU will get the season underway at home on August 22nd against the University of Houston- Victoria. Kick-off is set for 5:00pm at Crusader Field.

Orange Beach, Ala.- William Carey University women's soccer season came to an end as they dropped an overtime thriller with Embry Riddle, 1-0 in second round action of 2013 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship, presented by the Sports Medicine Center at the Orthopaedic Group, P.C. at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.
