Clinton, MS – The William Carey University men's Cross Country team brought home the team title at the 2014 Mississippi College Cross County Open with a near perfect score of 18 points while Geoffrey Kipchumba took the individual title.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Geoffrey Kipchumba of William Carey (Miss.) has been selected as the SSAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday. The freshman from Eldoret, Kenya, was chosen for his performance during the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 5. As the conference selection, Kipchumba will be automatically nominated for the NAIA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award.

Louisville, Ky.- Behind the efforts of newcomer Geoffrey Kipchumba (FR/Eldoret, Kenya), William Carey University men's cross country  posted a time of 2:14:46 to finish in 7th place in the silver division at the 2014 Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic hosted by the Louisville Sports Commission at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park on Saturday.

Huntsville, AL- The William Carey men's cross country team opened the season Saturday at the University of Alabama- Huntsville. The Crusaders were led by Geoffrey Kipchumba, a freshman from Eldoret, Kenya, who finished the 8K event with a time of 25:18 to take second place overall out of 111 total runners.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — William Carey (Miss.), the 2013 Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) runner-up, was selected as the favorite to capture this year's SSAC title in the 2014 SSAC Men's Cross Country Coaches' Preseason Poll, the conference office announced Monday. The Crusaders accumulated 3-of-7 first-place votes and 59 total points to top the preseason conference ranking.
