Gulf Shores, Ala. –WCU Geoffrey Kipchumpba earned NAIA All-America honors in the 5,000 meter run during the final day of the 2016 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Saturday .Kipchumpba placed second in the race with a time of 14:22.8, with Lewis- Clark's Sam Atkins winning in 14:08.84.

GULF SHORES, Ala. – On Thursday, William Carey's Geoffrey Kipchumba (SO/Eldoret, Kenya) won his second consecutive men's 10,000 meter National Championship at the 2016 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in Gulf Shores, AL. Kipchumba's time of 30 minutes and 15.3 seconds was seventeen seconds better than runner up Thomas Jackson from Bacone.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Mateo Edward (SR/Panama City, Panama) of William Carey (Miss.) has been selected as the SSAC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, while teammate Antonio Gilmer (JR/Utica, MS) has been named the SSAC Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
