Fox-Lear former Oak Grove Warrior signs for Crusaders

The Crusaders men's soccer program has announced a huge and diverse incoming class for 2009. The new slate is peppered with top line players. "To say this is an important year for us would be an understatement, it is a vital year" said head coach Nigel Boulton. "We needed to add to our already strong squad. We need to push on in the next two years and also set the foundation for the classes yet to come. I think we have done that." Boulton's hard work on the recruiting trail has seen him assemble a diverse group of players. Some have obvious pedigree, others have obvious potential.

Phil Hindson ('99) the Crusader's all-time leading goalscorer has just been appointed interim head coach at Clemson University in South Carolina. The D1 powerhouse have given Hindson, from Perth in Scotland, full control for the upcoming 2009 season.

Kansas City, MO- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes for Baseball and making the list for the Crusaders are Senior Biology major David Trisler, Senior Physical Education Major Derek Thompson, and Senior Biology Major Brennan Hodge.

Kansas City, MO- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes for Softball and making the list for the Lady Crusaders  is Junior Speech Communication Major Shanya Turner and Junior Biology Major Jeana Erickson. Both Turner and Erickson were named Women's Soccer Scholar Athletes as well this season.
