Wendy Hogue - Head Coach - 7th Season

Wendy Hogue is set to begin her sixth season at the reigns of the Lady Crusader softball program. Last season was another record setting year for the Lady Crusaders as they posted a 42-7 record and earned the schools first GCAC Softball Championship and a second consectutive trip to the NAIA national tournament. Hogue was named GCAC Coach of the Year and she and her staff were named the NFCA East Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
 

Hogue first arrived at Carey in 1995 and played on the inaugural team under current Baylor head coach Glenn Moore. While at Carey, Hogue excelled on the field and in the classroom and was the recipient of numerous awards for both.  Hogue graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1998 with a Bachelors of Science in Education. In 2008 she earned her Masters Degree in education as well.

 
Hogue's coaching career began as an assistant coach for slow-pitch softball in 1998 at Petal High School. In 2000, Hogue became the first head coach for fast pitch softball at Petal. In her five years with the Lady Panthers, her teams reached the playoffs each year and won two district titles.
   
   
Wendy has been married for eight years to Eric and they have one daughter Kinley Grace (5).

Craig Fletcher - Assistant Coach

Craig Fletcher is set to begin his 4th season as an assistant with the Lady Crusaders Softball Program.   For his efforts in the success of the 2009 season, Craig was a part of the NFCA East Region Coaching Staff of The Year.
 
Craig first came to Carey in 1983 and was a 4 year starter for the Crusader baseball team.  He then returned in 1996 as an assistant baseball coach under Coach Bobby Halford.  Craig was an assistant baseball and softball coach at Petal High School before returning once again to Carey in 2006 as a part of the softball program.
 
Craig has been married to Robin for 24 years and they have two children, Allen (22) and Jill (19).
