Nigel Boulton - Head Coach - 9th Season
Head Coach

Coach Nigel Boulton was born in Cardiff, Wales where he played for Sully A.F.C., a three-time Wales Premier League champion and three time Senior Cup Winner. In 1988 he joined the coaching ranks with Sully and took the club to second in its division. He also led the South Wales representative (All-Star) team to back-to-back J.J. Baily Trophy wins against English league opposition in both 1988 and 1989 and was appointed a District Coach for the F.A. of Wales during that time.

In 1990, Boulton was hired by Soccer USA and he moved to the United States where he later became the first full-time executive director and director of coaching for the Arkansas State Soccer Association. Bill Clinton appointed him to the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness & Sports in 1994. During his time in Arkansas he part-owned and managed the USISL franchise the Arkansas A's from 1992-94 until he left for Boston in 1997 to coach in the USL 'A' League with the Worcester Wildfire. At that time the Wildfire were the farm team for Major League Soccer's New England Revolution. The following year Boulton moved back south where he became the Mississippi Youth Soccer Association's statewide Director of Coaching. In March 2003 William Carey University (then College) hired Boulton as its men's soccer coach. He was named G.C.A.C. Coach of the Year in 2004 and his team won the G.C.A.C. Championship in 2007. The following year, 2008, he recorded his 50th collegiate career win as his team won the G.C.A.C regular season title and he was again named G.C.A.C. Coach of the Year. In 2009 he was named GCAC Coach of the Year for a third time as his team again took the regular season title and finishing ranked #9 in the NAIA National Poll and qualifying for the National Championships as they did again in 2010. 2011 saw the team ranked #4 in the national poll and reach the semi-final of the national tournament with Boulton named a NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year.
 
Boulton has also worked for the United States Soccer Federation as a national scout and as a national course instructor for the training of coaches. He was also a member of the Olympic Development Program regional and state staff for many years.

Barry Farrell is entering his sixth season with WCU soccer. A native of Dublin, Ireland, Farrell first arrived at Carey on a soccer scholarship to in 2001. In his freshman year, he started every game, and helped the crusaders reach the final four of the national championships in Kentucky. Barry was the leading scorer in his junior and senior years combining for 26 goals and 13 assists. Barry had his best season as captain of the Crusaders in 2004. Farrell was named All-GCAC, All Region, and was an NAIA All American. Barry has worked under head coach Nigel Boulton for six seasons serving as assistant coach. In 2010 Barry was also named Coordinator of Intramural sports at William Carey University.

Per Henrikson enters his fifth season overall as goalkeeper coach for William Carey soccer.
   
In the 1990's, Henrikson played with Royston Town and Tring Town of the Diadora League in England.
Henrikson also had trials in Ireland (Cobh Ramblers), Scotland (East Fife) and Costa Rica (Puntarenas).
In 1993, Henrikson played for Lahore WAPDA FC, becoming the only United States citizen to play professionally in Pakistan.
 
Henrikson played collegiately at Maine-Farmington and Union College(Kentucky). His collegiate coaching experience includes training goalkeepers at Bates College, Maine Maritime Academy, Trinity College, University of Vermont, University of Southern Mississippi and Lindsey Wilson College (2010).

 
In all of Henrikson's collegiate stops combined, he has coached nine all-conference and two honorable mention All-American goalkeepers. A well respected clinician nationwide, he is a director with Dan Gaspar's Star Goalkeeper Academy.
Henrikson has served as the goalkeeper coach for the national teams of Pakistan, the Philippines and Bhutan. After being named interim head coach of the Bhutan men's national team, Henrikson became the first United States citizen to win a FIFA match as the head coach of another nation when Bhutan defeated Guam 6-0 on April 23, 2003.
Henrikson also has trained goalkeepers with Wari Club of Bangladesh and worked as a guest clinician for the Football Federations of Sri Lanka, Nicaragua, Guam, and Timor Leste.
An adventurous traveler to 48 countries, Henrikson resides in Hattiesburg during the season.
