Hattiesburg, MS- William Carey's Anna Ard and Tan Montgomery were named Louisville Slugger/ NFCA NAIA All-Americans as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Ard was sensational for the Lady Crusaders going 32-4 with a 0.85 ERA to earn First team honors. Ard recorded 287 strikeouts, fired 18 shutouts, three no- hitters and one perfect game. The Louisville, MS, native allowed just 31 runs in 221 2/3 innings pitched. Ard was also named SSAC Pitcher of the Year and NAIA First Team All-American. |

Montgomery, a native of Salem, MS, hit a team leading .384 with 49 runs scored and 17 RBI's to earn second team All-American honors. This Montgomery's second selction to the NFCA All-American Team

The Lady Crusaders finished the 2011 season with a school record 54 wins, ranked third in the final NAIA National Poll, and advanced to their fourth straight NAIA National Tournament.
