Houston, TX - A combination of goalkeeper Lukas Simon and the crossbar stood between a tie and what should have been a hard fought Carey win in Texas last night. The Clan dug deep in the second half of the game as the Crusaders dominated following a tight first half. Keeper Simon pulled off two big saves, one to deny Reece Wilson from long range and one to reject Carl Reynolds close range effort. Carey spawned other opportunities while Carl Goody in the visiting goal was never tested. Carey had the best chance of the O.T. when in the 2nd period just minutes from time freshman ZezInho Presti smashed his effort off the crossbar with Simon beaten between the posts. It was not to be Carey's day.
