Clinton, MS- William Carey women's cross country finished in 11th place in the Mississippi College Season Opener at Choctaw Trails. Today's meet was the first ever cross country event for William Carey University.
Senior Jeana Erickson paced the Crusaders with a time of 19:17.45 to finish in 32nd place in the 4K event. A total of 83 runners competed in today's meet. Mississippi Valley Joyce Shumo took top honors with a time of 15:01.26. Grambling State was the overall champion with a time of 1 hour 26 minutes and 40 seconds.
The Lady Crusaders are back in action on September 11th as they travel to New Orleans, LA, to take part in the Loyola Invitational.
