Hattiesburg, MS -  The William Carey men's soccer team were ranked at No.19 in the NAIA pre-season coaches poll revealed on Tuesday. The Crusaders drop ten places from their end of season ranking at No.9.The No.1 ranked team is National Champions Lindsey Wilson who the Crusaders beat by 3-2 in Hattiesburg last season, the Blue Raiders last defeat. In the poll at No.6 after a run to the National Championship Elite 8 is Martin Methodist College of Tennessee. It was the then unranked Redwings who beat the Crusaders 2-1 in the first round of the tournament. The leading SSAC team in the poll was Southern Polytechnic of Georgia ranked at No. 9. The Georgia team beat Carey 3-2 in overtime last year. Perenial powerhouse Auburn University-Montgomery (AL) missed out on a run at the National Tournament last year but have been ranked for more than 100 consecutive weeks.
