Tan Montgomery, Casey Alexander, and Juby Barber selected to 2010 NAIA All Tournament Team
Decatur, Ala.- Tan Montgomery, Casey Alexander, and Judy Barber have each been selected to the 2010 NAIA Softball National Championship All-Tournament Team.
The Lady Crusaders three selections to the All Tournament team were the second most, trailing on National Champion Simon Fraser (B.C) who had four. William Carey posted a 5-2 record in the tournament finishing in fourth place.

 
Montgomery, a junior from Tylertown, was brilliant in the leadoff spot for the Lady Crusaders. Montgomery hit .520 (13 for 25) and scored nine runs. Montgomery's 13 hits were second most in the tournament and her .520 average was fourth among players with at least twelve at bats.
   
Alexander, a sophomore from Liberty, MS, hit .480 (11 for 23) with six RBI and six runs scored. Alexander's .480 average was fifth among players with at least twelve at bats.
   
Barber, a junior from Petal, MS, hit .280 with tournament leading 12 RBI. Barber belted four home runs and scored six runs. Barber set a tournament single game record with ten total bases and tied the record for home runs in a game with two against Mount Mercy. Barber also hit a double against Mount Mercy. Her 12 RBI for the tournament is was one short of the tournament record.  
   
Montgomery, Alexander, and Barber batted 1-2-3 for the Lady Crusaders and accounted for half of the WCU runs scored.
