Hattiesburg, MS- The William Carey women's soccer team concluded their spring season playing their annual alumni game this past Saturday.

Most of the alumni were comprised with recent graduates over the past 4 years. "Today was a lot of fun. It was great seeing the girls who have graduated and watching them in action once again. We had fun with our lineup and I believe both teams really enjoyed themselves today," said Coach Owens.

On Friday, William Carey played host to West Florida and the University of Southern Mississippi. Coach Owens was pleased with their efforts against the stiff competition. "Anytime we can host this caliber of competition and measure how we fare against the best in D-II and a good D-I team is great experience for our girls. It makes sense for all of us to play each other and be rewarded for working all spring with limited competition. We didn't allow any goals and have not allowed any goals all Spring, so I think that is a positive for us leading into next season. We graduated a lot of girls with experience this year, so we had a lot of new faces on the field. I am excited about this team and the potential this team has going into August."
