Kansas City, MO- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the 2009-10 Division I Men's Basketball All-America Teams on Tuesday. GCAC Newcomer of the Year Brandon Cooks has been named third team All-American.
Cooks, a sophomore from Thibodaux, LA, averaged 16.2 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game. Cooks led Carey in points (470), points per game (16.2),field goals made (159), field goals attempted (344), free throws made (114), free throws attempted (164), blocks (34), rebounds (255), and rebounds per game (8.8).
The selections are made by the NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches' Association All-America Committee and comprises a First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention Team. There are 10 members on each of the first three All-America teams.
