Hattiesburg, MS- Six doubles and five strong innings from starter Melanie Bush helped No. 6 William Carey complete the double header sweep against Grace College as they defeat the Lady Lancers, 10-1 (5).

Two Lady Lancer errors led to the first Carey run in the bottom of the first inning and a little small ball in the second allowed WCU to plate three more to open a 4-0 lead. Bush made her lone mistake of the game surrendering a leadoff walk followed by a double off the center field wall which cut the WCU lead to 4-1. Carey promptly sent ten batters to the plate in the bottom of the fourth to plate six runs on five hits. Bush then worked a one-two -three fifth to end the game under the eight run rule.

Bush improved to 3-1 on the season scattering two hits over five innings.

WCU is back in action tomorrow night at 7:00 pm as they take on William Woods University in the William Carey Invitational at Joseph & Nancy Fail Field.
