Jackson, MS- No. 14 William Carey completed a three game sweep of Tougaloo College and improved to 9-3 in GCAC play by defeating the Bulldogs, 15-1, Saturday afternoon at the Coleman Athletic complex.
For the second straight day the Carey bats rolled as they pounded out sixteen hits on the day. Chantes Edwards, Bo Hust and Shannon Steed each homered for the Crusaders. Eleven different Crusaders recorded hits in the contest. The fifteen runs was more than enough support for Carey pitching as Scotty Reese, Kyle Denny, Wil Mann, Matt McCulloch, and Matt Carter combined to allow one run and four hits on the day.
Carey is back in action on Wednesday as they travel to Jackson, TN, to take on Union University.
