Alexandra Kaluza- went 4-0 in Carey wins
Grambling, LA- William Carey women' tennis completed their three match swing through the state of Louisiana by defeating GCAC foe LSU-Shreveport ,9-0 and Grambling State University, 6-1.
     

 
In the morning match at the Cockrell Tennis Center in Shreveport, Carey rolled through double actions as Hollie Robinson and Jill Fletcher won 8-1, Alexandra Kaluz and Anastaisa Khabirova won 8-0 and Hannah Johnson and Aimi Beresford won 8-1. The Lady Crusader dropped only one set as they rolled through to a 6-0 sweep in singles action.

 
In the afternoon match up with Grambling State University, Robinson and Kaluza won number one double 8-0 and Fletcher and Khabirova pulled out a thrilling tie break to take No. 2 doubles 8-8 (8-6 tiebreaker). Carey trialed 6-7 with Fletcher serving and survived seven match points to tie the game at 7-7. In the tie breaker they survived another two match points to come back and win the tiebreaker 8-6. In single action, Robinson, Kaluza, Khabirova, Fletcher, and Lancaster each won as Carey rolled through to a 5-1 advantage in singles play.
     
The Lady Crusaders are back in action on Tuesday at Tatum Park as they take on Alcorn State University. Matches begin at 1:30 pm
