New Orleans, LA- A poor half on the defensive end spelled doom for the Lady Crusaders as they fall to Southern University New Orleans, 73-57.

In a back and forth first half the Lady Knights closed with and 8-4 run to take a 33-29 lead at the break. In the second half SUNO took full advantage of Carey miscues as they torched the nets shooting 57% to run away from the Lady Crusaders.

 

Consuela Tucker led Carey with 14 points. Kim Lewis added 9 points.

Carey is back in action on Thursday as they take on Tougaloo College. Tip-off is set for 5:30 pm at Kroger Gym.
