Mobile, AL- William Carey dropped their third straight GCAC contest falling to the University of Mobile, 74-38 Thursday night at Pharr Gym.
      
The Lady Rams out shot the Lady Crusaders 53% to 26% from the floor and finished with a big edge in free throws, shooting 81% (13-16) versus 50% (1-2) for William Carey. WCU also turned the ball over 25 times compared to 12 times for Mobile and hit a paltry 27% (7-26) from 3-point range.
     
In the opening half, Mobile out shot William Carey 58% to 28% to build a 40-22 lead. Kim Lewis gave William Carey a 3-2 lead 40 seconds into the game, but Mobile grabbed the lead for good on a Crawford 3-pointer with 18:04 left to go ahead 5-3. With the Lady Rams clinging to a 13-9 lead with 13:01 to go, Mobile went on a 14-0 run over the next 6:50 to grab a 27-9 lead. The Lady Crusaders pulled within 32-19 with 3:31 left after scoring 10 points in a 1:47 stretch, compared to their 9-point output in the first 14:41 of the game. Mobile closed the half with an 8-3 spurt to take the 18-point lead into the locker room.
     
Alisha Mason led Carey with 17 points.
   
Carey is back in action on Saturday as they take on Southern University New Orleans. Tip-off is set
for 5:00 pm at the Castle.
