Hattiesburg, MS- LSU-Shreveport controlled play on both ends of the floor as William Carey dropped their second home game of the year falling to the Lady Pilots, 71-57.
      
Carey held a slim 21-17 lead with 5:20 to play in the half before LSUS raced by the Lady Crusaders to open a 29-24 lead at the break. The second half wasn't much better for Carey as they Lady Pilots connected on 16 of 32 field goals on the half to keep the Lady Crusaders at bay.
     
Alisha Mason led three Lady Crusaders in double figures with 24 points. Consuela Tucker added 11 points and Kim Lewis finished with 10 points.
       
Carey is back in action tomorrow as they take on No. 21 Xavier University. Tip-off is set for 5:00 pm at Clinton Gym.
