Hattiesburg, MS-  William Carey held Spring Hill to just 17 first half points and forced 21 turnovers on the evening as they rout the Badgers, 69-48 Saturday at Clinton Gym.

Carey blew the game wide open with a 20-8 run over the final 15 minutes of the first half to take a 29-17 lead into the break. WCU continued its solid play on the defensive end and the Badgers never got closer than 9 points in the second half. Carey led by as many as 23 points in the half.

With the win Carey improves to 18-4 overall and 8-3 in GCAC play.

Brandon Cooks finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Cory Smith and Drew Meyerchick added 14 points apiece.

Carey is back in action as they host No. 20 Belhaven University. Tip-off is set of 7:30 pm at Clinton Gym.
