Hattiesburg, MS- Sophomore forward Brandon Cooks has been named Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending January 31st.

Last week Cooks' averaged 22.3 points and 11.0 rebounds per game for the Crusaders. In Saturday's game against Loyola, Cooks scored 11 of his game high 29 points in the final 4:57 as the Crusaders overcame a 9 point second half deficit to defeat the Wolfpack 80-75.

Carey is back in action on Thursday as they take on Dillard University (LA). Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm at Dent Hall.
