New Orleans, LA- Tyler McMullen, Bo Hust and Will Dannelly each drove in runs in the top of the tenth and reliever Matt Carter struck ou eight in four innings of work as No. 14 William Carey defeated Loyola, 7-3 Sunday afternoon at Segnette Field.
Trailing 1-0 after Loyola's David McChesney RBI triple in the first inning, Dustin Smith tied the game with a sacrifice fly in the third to make it 1-1. Loyola retook the lead with a run in the fifth but again Carey answered as Jason Terrell belted a two run homer to make it 3-2 Crusaders. Loyola tied the game thanks to a Carey error in the seventh and in the tenth Carey plated four runs to pick up the win
Jason Terrell went 3 for 5 with a homer and two RBI's. McMullen and Will Dannelley each added two hits.
Carey is back in action on Friday as they take on No. 18 LSU-Shreveport at Milton Wheeler Field.
