New Orleans, LA- Brandon Cooks poured in a game high 29 points as William Carey rallied from a 9 point second half deficit to knock off Loyola- New Orleans, 80-75.

With tonight's win head coach Steve Knight stands at 499 career wins.

Carey led 35-32 at the half but the Wolfpack rallied and built at a 68-59 lead with 4:57 to play. From their big man Brandon Cooks was sensational for the Crusaders down the stretch. Cooks scored 11 of the next 15 Carey points as WCU stormed back to take a 74-71 lead with 41 seconds to play. Drew Meyerchick iced the game away for the Crusaders connecting on 6 of 6 free  throws in the final thirty seconds

Drew Meyerchick added 20 points while Cory Smith chipped in with 14 points. Cooks pulled down a game high 13 rebounds

Ryan Brock led the Wolfpack with 25 points

Head coach  Steve Knight will go for win 500 next Thursday against Dillard University. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm at Dent Hall.
