Hattiesburg, MS- No. 5 seed William Carey will take on No. 12 seed Graceland University (Iowa) at 10:00 am on Tuesday December 1st in the 2009 NAIA National Tournament in Decatur, Alabama.

 

The Lady Crusaders advanced to the sweet sixteen for the second straight season having defeated Union College (KY) 1-0 last Saturday. GCAC Offensive Player of the Year Jeana Erickson scored the game winner in the 29th minute of play.

Graceland University advances after defeating Dakota Wesleyan (S.D), 4-1. Chelsea Phillips scored two goals while Ayaka Sawa and Ryanne Miller added one each.

The Lady Jackets are 18-1-2 on the season and captured the Heart of America Athletic Association Championship. This is the Lady Jackets second straight appearance in the national tournament and fourth overall.  Graceland was ranked 9th in the final NAIA poll.
