Hattiesburg, MS- No. 4 William Carey captured their third straight Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championship defeating the University of Mobile, Saturday afternoon at Crusader Field.

 

The Lady Crusaders and Lady Rams slugged their way to scoreless tie at the break and carried it over until the 81st minute before Aimi Beresford netted what proved to be the game winner. Jeana Gilbert capped off the scoring with a goal in the final minute of the game.

 

Jackie DeNova recorded four saves in the shutout.

The Lady Crusaders improve 17-1-1 and secure the top seed in this week's NAIA Unaffiliated Conference's Tournament in Dallas, Texas.  Schedule for the Unaffiliated Conference's Tournament will be announced on Sunday.
