Corey Ward- rounds of 73-69 to finish T11
Rome, GA- William Carey fired rounds of 286-291 to finish in a three way tie for second place, one shot behind Lee University, in the 2009 Chick-fil-a Collegiate Invitational hosted by Berry College.
      
On Monday the Crusaders blitzed the 6,880 yard Coosa Country Club with a school record two under par 286 total. Last week's BSC Fall Shootout champion Matt Hungerman opened with a four under par 68 while Stone Thames joined him in red numbers with a three under par 69.
     
On day two it was junior transfer Corey Ward that had the hot hand for the Crusaders with a three under par 69 as the Crusaders fired a three over par 291 in round two. The Lee University Flames answered with a second straight round of 288 to better the Crusaders, Thomas University, and first round leader University of the Cumberlands by one shot.
     
Hungerman was named to the All-Tournament team with a two day total of 140.
     
Carey golf wraps up the fall season on October 19th as they take part in the Hilton Garden Inn Classic hosted by Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at Windance Golf Club.
