Jackson, TN- No. 5 William Carey wrapped up a disappointing road trip as they battled Union University to a 3-3 tie.

Carey also dropped their first game of the season on Friday night falling to No. 2 Lindsey Wilson College, 3-1.

On Saturday, the hangover from the loss Friday night seemed evident as they allowed the Lady Bulldogs to storm to a 2-1 halftime lead. Eboni Murphy and Jamie Haynes each netted goals while Natalia Nino added the Crusaders lone goal.

The Lady Crusaders seemed to right the ship as Jeana Erickson leveled the game in the 49th minute and Shayna Turner put Carey in front in the 59th minute. Carey seemed destined for the win but Murphy had other ideas netting the tying goal with 28 seconds left to play.

Each keeper totaled three saves in the overtime to preserve the tie.

Carey is back in action next Saturday as they travel to Thomas University (GA).
