Columbia, KY- No. 5 William Carey suffered their first setback of the season dropping a 3-1 decision on the road at No. 2 Lindsey Wilson College Friday night.

 

Lindsey Wilson jumped to a 1-0 halftime lead behind Mia Persson goal in the 14th minute of play. The Lady Blue Raiders increased their advantage to 3-0 with goals from Saeda Sueki and Yolanda Hamilton in the 58th and 82nd minute respectively. Following Hamilton's goal Carey netted their lone goal of the contest as Natalia Nino found Karina Almendarez in close in the 83rd minute.

Jackie DeNova recorded four saves in the loss.

Carey is back in action this evening as they take on Union University (TN) in Jackson, TN.
