Kansas City, MO- The fourth edition of the 2009 NAIA National Women's Soccer Players of the Week were announced on Tuesday: Jackie DeNova of William Carey (Miss.) was named NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

DeNova, a 5-10, junior goalkeeper from Fort Benning, Ga., posted a shutout against No. 2 Azusa Pacific (Calif.) in the Mobile Soccer Classic at the Orange Beach Sportsplex in Orange Beach, Ala., last Friday. DeNova registered 17 saves in the match to help No. 6 William Carey record a 1-0 win. She has a 4-0 record with two shutouts on the season and has a 0.879 save percentage

 

DeNova was also named GCAC defensive player of the week.
