Marietta, Ga.- William Carey University rallied with three second half goals as they defeated Life (Ga.), 4-3 in non-conference action Tuesday evening.

 

The game was tied at 1-1 after a hard fought first half however the second half turned into a shootout as the two teams combined for five second half goals.

 

Carey went to work quickly in the second half as Chance Bourdene (SR/Flowood, Miss.) scored in the 52nd minute then Pedro Villar Roldan (SR/Santander, Spain) and  Joaquin Ruiz Cabello (JR/Malaga, Spain) to put the Crusaders up 4-1 in the match.

 

The Running Eagles made a slight run of their own with goals in the 65th and 77th minute but Carey regrouped and held on down the stretch.

 

Michael Conejero (JR/Spain) netted the first half goal for WCU in the 37th minute.

 

Earlier in the day the NAIA announced the Coaches Top 25 poll and Carey climbed five spots to #2.
