Kansas City, Mo.- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the 2016-17 Scholar Teams and William Carey University was well represented with  eight teams earning  honors.

Softball led the way for WCU with a 3.57 GPA followed by Men's Tennis with a 3.48. Both ranked in the top six in the Southern States Athletic Conference.

Overall WCU student-athletes compiled a 3.07 GPA.
