Hattiesburg, Miss.- William Carey University women's tennis wrapped up a stellar 2017 campaign with a record of 18-4 with three Lady Crusaders earning All-American honors.

WCU won the 2017 SSAC regular season and tournament championship titles, appeared in their fourth straight national tournament, and was 6th in the final NAIA Coaches Top 25 poll.

Last month, the NAIA announced that Jelena Djordan (FR/Caplijina, Bosnia and Herzegov) earned First Team NAIA All-American honors, Aleksandra Grela (FR/Brussels, Belguim) was named Second Team NAIA All-American, and Nataliia Beliaeva received Honorable Mention All-American honors. Djordan and Grela were both named All-Americans by the ITA.

In April, Carey won several SSAC individual awards with  Djordan being named SSAC Freshman of the Year, while Grela earned the Newcomer of the Year Award. Djordan, Grela, Beliaeva ,Wendy Barsotti (FR/Aix en Provence, France), , Gloria Kaufman (JR/Jagerberg, Austria)n were named SSAC First-Team All Conference.
