Palm Beach Garden, Fla.- William Carey University posted rounds of 317-315-335 to finish in 11th place in the 2017 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship at PGA National Squire Course.

In extremely challenging conditions Carey opened with a round of 317 on day one led by Aleesha Smith's stellar round of even par 72. On day two, the weather moved in and it took Carey two days to complete the second round. Kennedy Windlan paced WCU with round of 75 to help WCU get in with a score of 315.

After heavy rains on Wednesday and Thursday, the championship was shortened to 54 holes with Carey entering the final round in 5th place. Carey was unable to get anything going on the final day and finished with a score of 335 to drop to 11th place.
