Phil Hindson ('99) the Crusader's all-time leading goalscorer has just been appointed interim head coach at Clemson University in South Carolina. The D1 powerhouse have given Hindson, from Perth in Scotland, full control for the upcoming 2009 season.

The former Crusader forward has been assistant at Clemson since 2004 previously having been an assistant at Winthrop University. As a player he netted 54 goals with 22 assists in just three seasons. An All-American selection he was also named three-time All-Region and All-Conference and was one of the inaugural inductees onto the William Carey University soccer Wall of Fame.

Hindson geaduated from the coast campus with a B.S. degree in Physical Education in 1999.
