Jonny Fairbairn won the Rookie of the Year award

Hattiesburg, MS- The Crusader players recently voted on their season awards before leaving for the summer break. Graduating senior Jared Wooley picked up the MVP award for the second year running. The Houma, Louisiana native top scored on the season. Voting was tight with team captain Chris Schaefer, honorable mention all-American soph. Carl Reynolds and freshman Jonny Fairbairn close behind in the polling.

The Rookie of the Year award went to Fairbairn who anchored the back-line for the Crusaders in his outstanding debut season. All four of these players along with soph. Rob Rogers were also named GCAC All-Conference selections. The Most Improved Player award went to another Houma native, soph Mitchell Barker. Defender Barker is a cousin of Wooley's. Both played at Vanderbilt High School. The Crusader Award went to assistant coach Barry 'Bazza' Farrell.
