Hattiesburg, Miss.- William Carey men's soccer struck early and often as they improve to 2-1 on the season with a 6-1 win over Florida Memorial University Monday afternoon at Crusader Field.

Carey set the tone right away as Jean Emanuel-Ahouman scored in the 13th minute and Lorris Cortijo struck twice to propel WCU to a 3-0 lead at the break. Carey continued to pour it on in the second half as Helge Pietschmann, Mohamed Degheb, and Luis Trude added goals in the rout.

Charlie Laridan picked up the win in goal recording three saves.

Carey returns to action on Saturday as they host the University of St. Thomas. Kick-off is set for 7:00 pm at Crusader Field.
