New Orleans, LA- William Carey committed 29 turnovers, 22 in the first half, as they drop a disappointing 85-71 decision to No. 23 Loyola University in SSAC action at the Den.
      
The Lady Crusaders shot 70% (14-20) from the floor in the first half but the 22 turnovers led to 24 Loyola points as the Wolfpack opened a 43-33 lead at the half.
 
Carey cut the lead to six early in the second half before Loyola reeled off a 12-2 run to push the lead to 54-39 with 15:08 to play. The Lady Crusaders never got closer than 12 points down the stretch.
 
Crystal Tucker led WCU with 15 points. TeAnna Carter added 13 points and Ciera Sibley finished with 11 points.
 

 
Keiva Council led all scorers with 22 points. 

 
WCU returns to action on Monday as the take  on No. 15 Xavier University (LA) in non-conference action. Tip-off is set for 5:30 pm at Clinton Gym.
