Hattiesburg, MS- Crystal Tucker poured in a game high 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds as William Carey snapped a five game losing streak, defeating Auburn Montgomery, 76-60 in SSAC action at Clinton Gym.

With the win WCU improves to 8-9 and 5-5 in SSAC play.

After a back and forth start WCU turned up the defensive pressure took control of the game. With the scored tied 13-13 with 11:25 to play WCU held AUM to just one field goal and forced six turnovers as they put together a 21-5 run to open a 34-18 lead with 2:25 to play.  AUM would trim the lead to 12 but Megan Reynolds three at the buzzer put WCU up 39-24 at the half.

In the second half the Lady Crusaders opened with a 7-0 run and never looked back.
Erica Moore added 11 points and Ciera Sibley finished with 10 points.

William Carey returns action on Thursday January 26th as they take on No. 23 Loyola University (LA). Tip-off is set for 5:30 pm in New Orleans.
